What a Wonderful Set of Tools we have before us ...

I sat there in my den on the 'left coast', the west coast of California in the middle of the desert, miles from the nearest major city and listened to, even recorded for later review as required - Streaming Audio & Video in High-Definition with Near-THX voice-overs originating from the other side of the planet- Sharing it with friends equally far away, equally remote. Ironically, now, I'm even further away, eighty-two point three miles North-Northeast of Las Vegas NV and three-hundred and forty miles South-Southwest of Salt Lake City UT- on the edge of the Arizona Strip near the juncture of Nevada, Utah, and Arizona.

Get a Grip: Reality Check ...

Just when I thought I had a grip on reality, the reality of Apple's Dual-Processor PowerPC G5 and it's remarkable 64-bit Operating System, OS X v. 10.3.4 - Some thing happens. About four years ago - My how time flies- It was 18 May 2004. Fifty months or so ago. I joined a new, International Dual-Processor G5 User's Group. ( Technically it was for all G5 User's, not just the dual-processor variety. It just happens that the dual-processor owners were more out-spoken ).

Then a few weeks after that, I'm more certain of this, it was June 2nd 2004, four years ago as of this writing, I heard of the newest dual 2.5 GHz machines, and perhaps equally or more disturbing, of the liquid-cooled iteration AND a level of creative types already running both 8 GB of main memory and up to five to seven HD's ( Internal to the machine ).
